St. Mary's Island has its own primary school, with secondary schools and colleges available in the Chatham area.

A Grade II listed Boiler House has been refurbished to create 'The Dockside Designer Outlet Centre' housing over 70 shops including Clarks, Cotton Traders, Thorntons and Benetton.

If you like nothing better than messing about in boats, then Chatham Maritime is the place for you.

The offices on Quayside, opposite St. Mary's Island, were built by Countryside Properties and are fully let.

Future Development
The marina will be expanded to house up to 500 yachts and include a number of bars and restaurants around its perimeter.
