Countryside Maritime Ltd is a joint Venture between specialist developer, Countryside Properties PLC and the South East England Development Agency (SEEDA).

SEEDA was established by the Government through the Regional Development Agency Act 1998 and came into operation in 1st April 1999 to take the strategic lead in promoting the sustainable economic development of the region. SEEDA is responsible for the redevelopment of the Chatham dockyard known as Chatham Maritime, with the joint venture company, Countryside Maritime responsible for the redevelopment of St. Mary's Island.

St Mary's Island has won numerous awards and in 2005 we were pleased to win Best Kent Development at the Daily Mail UK Property Awards, and Best Brownfield Development at the Mail on Sunday National Housebuilder Design Awards.
